About

Bosco Cafe has been providing travellers and locals with great coffee, sustenance and relaxation for over 10 years. We are known far and wide as the place to stop in Te Kuiti.

When Bosco opened in 2001 many of the locals thought we were a bit crazy, which we took as a compliment. We liked the idea of being an unlikely business in an unlikely place.

These days there’s a cafe in every country town, but we feel Bosco stands out as something pretty special.

Our focus is on providing our customers with great experiences. We have an excellent team, most of whom have been with us for several years. They are not only very skilled, but they have an innate sense of what makes customer experiences special.

Our food is  wholesome, tasty and satisfying. There is a wide range of items in the counter display, as well as an extensive breakfast menu, and several made-to-order lunch items to choose from. Everything we sell is made in our kitchen (except the famous Denheath custard squares which we import from the South Island). We have a selection of vegetarian and gluten free items available at all times.

We’re proud to serve superb Atomic coffee, as well as a wide range of teas and other beverages.

All our food and drinks are available to eat in or takeaway.

We can also cater for outside functions, including business lunches and morning teas, dinners for any size group and special occasions. Bosco can be hired for private evening functions.

We also realise just what a great location we have, in the heart of the King Country. We’re on State Highway 3, halfway between Auckland and New Plymouth, and National Park, an hour from Hamilton, and on the way to lots of places. There’s a great motel, Waitomo Lodge, just across the road.

Bosco operates in a lovely timber and glass building, architecturally designed, and purpose built for us. On fine days customers enjoy our outdoor seating area and garden, with beautiful Brook Park as a backdrop. We have plenty of parking, both in front and behind the cafe.
